i thought i'd ask with christmas aproaching, what christmas songs does everyone  like, and more importantly, have you started listening to them yet?

this year, i did my own cd of 20 christmas songs (20 that in my opinion, are the best)

among them are, do they know it's christmas?. by band aid. happy christmas war is over. by john lennan. a winter's tale by david essex, fairy tale of new york by the pogues, step in to christmas by elton john, i'll be home for christmas by josh groban (such an emotional peace of music), i cried first time i heard it. rocking around the christmas tree by mel and kim. the christmas shioes by new song, and also some novelty christmas songs- santa clause is on the dole by spitting image, though bad, it's so amusing.

in adition, i've always enjoyed silent night.

such a lovely christmas carol

On my local radio station, starting on Thanksgiving Day they play only Christmas music until New Years Day. I listen to the radio in my car, and I have to admit I switch to that station on Thanksgiving and leave it on until New Years.

I am somewhat obsessed with most Christmas music, and this station has a wide range of music. They play everything from old standard classics, to funny, to country singers, to rock bands. I think they play every Christmas song ever written and recorded. lol

I'm not too interested in a lot of the 'sappy' parts of Christmas, or even Christmas movies and that sort of thing. But for some reason, I really dig Christmas music. It might be my favorite part of the holiday.

I've always appreciated Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You" because I'm a 90s kid and I heard it play in the film Love Actually which is the best Christmas movie for lovers, I think. :)

Taylor Swift's Last Christmas gets played by my sister all the time in my parent's house so it got stuck in my head and I don't hate it. Baby It's Cold Outside is also a classic that I enjoy listening to my mother used to sing it all the time in the car when I was a kid. I'd listen to any cover of it but especially Michael Buble's cover because it's a new take to a great song.
