Movies You Can't Wait to See
on: 12:39 am Saturday, October 11, 2014
I am looking forward to the Hobbit, Battle of Five Armies.  I am a huge Tolkien fan and have been waiting for this film all year.  It's been such along time since the first one got me hooked on Middle Earth.  I will be going to see it with my friend and we will probably dress up like we did the last time.  It was so much fun.

The Avatar, Saga.. According to my sources Jake has a long way to go in the planet of Pandora and the entire three more films that should be cooking. //Source: a commentary somewhere on TV

Has anyone else heard anything?

I am also really looking forward to the new Hobbit remake. They have made several cartoons and at least one 80's live action of this classic novel - but I'm super excited to see what 21st century technology can do with this plot. I have loved this book since I was a child and I never get tired about hearing about the journey of Bilbo Baggins. It's a book I hope to share with my daughter one day when she's old enough to appreciate it.

I think that the movies I can't wait to see are the following:

Fault in our stars

Fifty shades of grey

I loved both of their trailers but I haven't seen them yet. They seem to be exciting.

I may be unforgivably late to the party, but I'm still waiting to watch Guardians of the Galaxy >.<

Also waiting for: Into The Woods, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (Robin Williams' last film, I think), Annie and Dracula Untold.

When it first came out I heard the only way they were able to release it was to sign on to it being a trilogy, but they had no intention of doing more movies....not sure if this has changed!

I didn't even know here was another Night at the Museum movie in the works!!  I am definitely looking forward to that as well.  I loved the first two so much.  They were so funny and such good family movies.

I am really excited about seeing The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. I loved reading The Hunger Games book series, and the Mockingjay trailer looks very suspenseful and action-packed. I hope that Katniss' movie character stays true to her literary self, though even if the movie adds some creative liberties, I am sure that it will be interesting watching Jennifer Lawrence's acting!

I really want to see Birdman because it has been getting great reviews, and I love Michael Keaton. He is a very good actor and totally underrated. He deserves way more recognition than he gets.  I think he and Christian Bale are the two best Batmans. Or is it Batmen?
Anyway, there is even some Oscar buzz around Birdman, and I want to see what all the talk is about.

I really want to see Fifty Shades of Gray but I think it won't be shown here in where I live. Not really a fan of the book but I'm really curious about the movie. I also want to watch Insidious 3 since Insidious 2 has a very good ending (well, for me at least).

I really want to see The November Man, starring Pierce Brosnan, one of my most favorite actors. I watched him in The Thomas Crowne Affair, and loved that.
This new movie is about a CIA agent called back into service to rescue a beautiful woman he used to care for. Here is the trailer.

I am very much looking forward to the last of the Hobbit movies and Into The Woods.  I know there are a lot of people who were upset that Peter Jackson added content and made some changes in The Hobbit, but if you just take it as a movie for it's own merits without getting hung up on if it is slavishly true to the book, it is good entertainment.  I love that new technology is able to make all the fabulous creatures look wonderfully real and not like old Godzilla movie monsters.

The final Night at the Museum movie is also on my things I want to see list.  I wonder if they originally planned for just three, or if they are now announcing it as the final one due to the death of Robin Williams  ^^;   It will be kind of sad to watch, although I am sure the movie will be as entertaining as the previous two, because I will be aware while watching that it is Robin Williams' final movie.

I think that I am just too old-fashioned for most of the movies that are being made today. Even some of the cartoon movies are too gruesome for me, and the current rage of zombies and other "undead"  creatures is just not what i enjoy watching.
I truly hate blood and gore, people being killed and tortured, and awful things happening to them by their conflict with nature.
I do enjoy those suspense type of movies, and ones that you might even have to watch a second time once you get to the end of the movie and realize what actually happened. Some movies, I just enjoy watching , even though I have already seen it five times; it is still just enjoyable even though you know what is happening next.  Short Circuit comes to mind for that, as does The Italian Job (the remake not the original).
I really love most of the time travel movies, even when they have sad endings like Somewhere in Time did, or  The Time Traveler's Wife. Both were great movies, just ended way too sad for my tastes.

Most of the new movies that I see advertised, are just not interesting enough for me to want to watch, although I have seen some recent ones that I really liked, such as Life of Pi, and Avatar had awesome computer animation and colors.

I've been waiting for the new Fantastic Four movie to come out so I can watch it on the big screen. I don't believe in rating/judging any movie I haven't seen yet so I'm excited to see this film despite what other people say. I really liked Jupiter Ascending and the works of the Wachowski's so I feel strongly about mainstream movies that are misunderstood.

Ok, so I saw The Gift today, starring Jason Bateman. It was suspenseful and crazy good. Twisty turny up to the very end.   I love me some Jason Bateman...kind of in a dirty way...

Movies I can't wait to see: Vacation, Ant-man, Trainwreck, San Andreas, and Spy.

At Redbox: Unfinished Business, Get Hard, and The Loft.

I am dying to go see the new Quentin Tarantino movie called the Hateful Eight (it isn't out yet though). I'm kind of in love with all of his movies (although my favorite movie isn't directed by him) but that isn't the main reason I want to go see this one. YES there's an even better reason. The music in this movie is going to be composed by Enio Morricone! You probably don't recognise the name but I'll bet you are going to know this song he wrote:

Adding Suicide Squad to the list (I hope Jared Leto as joker turns out to be good) and Finding Dory! When I saw Finding Nemo I was still a kid so nostalgia is kicking in :')
And updating about the hateful 8 movie. I really enjoyed it although it is not the best Tarantino movie I've seen

Here are two that I really want to see. 13 Hours and Black Mass . I don't think 13 Hours is available to stream yet, but I saw Black Mass is for sale/rent on Amazon.

There are a couple of others I want to see, but those are my top two. Two I'll watch again soon are Legion (on my DVR) and 30 Days of Night - love that one, and I own it.

@Short.Cake I thought I knew which one you mentioned when you said The Gift, but I was thinking of a different one. I did see a trailer for the one you watched though, and it looked good. I'm glad you liked it, and I'll add that to my mental list of ones to see. I'm way behind on movies. I can't think of the name of the one I confused The Gift with, but hopefully I'll remember it soon, because it sounded really good. I can't even remember who was in it, but I think the gist of it was somewhat similar to Equilibrium, which I loved. Ahh, I found it! It's from 2014, and is called The Giver. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435651/
